My Venture into the Adventure Zone
I imagine most don't hear about podcasts and think "that sounds hilarious." Until fairly recently, I assumed all podcasts were either NPR or this one podcast that somehow ended up on my first iPod about how we were all going to die if we didn't get enough iodine. I was more than presently surprised when a friend of mine finally convinced me to give a podcast a listen. Now, I'm addicted. Although "The Adventure Zone" wasn't my first love, it is the only podcast I find myself going to for a relisten. TAZ, as it's affectionately known, was one of the first podcasts of its kind and very few podcasts of the dungeneering genre have measured up since. What started off as three brothers and their dad goofing off playing Dungeons and Dragons turned into a multi-arc (no multi-campaign) saga, bringing their listeners unsurprisingly to laughter but surprisingly to tears.
